Biography
Christine Simolka was born in Lörrach and completed an eight-year study in singing under the tutelage of Nicole Andrich and Raymond Henn in Basel. Parallel to this she attended courses given by Kurt Widmer, Andreas Scholl and Hanno Müller-Brachmann amongst others, and the Opera Course at Basel Academy of Music.
Further studies followed under the tutelage of Marianne Schuppe. With regular performances Christine Simolka maintains a broad repertoire, which in addition to lieder from the Baroque and classic periods, also highlights the works of Schubert.
