Biography
* 15. 02. 1942.

Kathrin Graf studied violin under Lorand Fenyves in Geneva. She was a member of the 'Tonhalleorchester' in Zurich during her singing studies.
1965 until 1971 - Studied singing in Frankfurt am Main, in Winterthur under Silvia Gähwiller (concert diploma 1970) and in the opera class of the 'Hochschule für Musik Berlin' (Berlin School of Music) under Elisabeth Grümmer and Hugo Diez (diploma 1971).
1972 - Soloists prize awarded by the 'Schweizerischen Tonkünstlervereins' (Swiss Association of Musicians).
1970 until 1998 - Extensive concerting activities as a soprano with a large repertoire ranging from Baroque to the avantgarde through to oratoria, chamber music, orchestral works and lieder. Performed in most European countries, Japan and Canada. Most important duo partners are Rainer Boesch and Daniel Fueter.
Committed largely to contemporary music. Many premieres of works by living composers and numerous recordings, including for radio.
1983 - Awarded the BAT prize for interpreters.
1972 until 1979 - Assistant of Elisabeth Grümmer during master classes at the 'International Musikfestwochen' in Lucerne.
Since 1977 - Singing teacher at the 'Hochschule für Musik und Theater' (School of Music and Theatre) in Zurich.
Regular master classes in Japan.
