François Courvoisier Is the former first violoncellist of the O.S.R, former violoncellist of the 'Quatuor de Genève' and former professor of the professional violoncellist class and string quartet class at Geneva Conservatory. "In June 1979 I suffered from a cerebral thrombosis which paralysed my left side and put an end to my performing career, I did, however, continue teaching until my retirement. I remained a member of the Swiss Association of Musicians out of solidarity."
