Jean-Christophe Rosaz is a composer of French-Swiss nationality, born in Chambéry (France).
He studied at the "Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique" in Lyon and received a teachers diploma in musical writing and composition: G. Amy, R. Ourgandjian, C. Accaoui, R. Pascal, M. Maunas, M. Scharapan. In 1989 he studied ethnomusicology with Y. Grimaud. In 1992 he received a diploma in the composition of film music from the "Ecole Normale Supérieure de Musique" in Paris where he studied with A. Duhamel and P. Mestral.
