1965-1968 Studied music theory and composition with Fritz Büchtger and violin with Erich Keller as part of the Munich Waltershausen Seminar
1966 Undergraduate studies at the 'Musisches Gymnasium', Munich
1968-1972 Studies in violin under Heinz Endres and composition studies under Günter Bialas at the State School of Music, Munich
1970 First prize in the composition competition for the 20th anniversary of the 'Südwestdeutschen Kammerorchester', Pforzheim (Southwest German Chamber Orchestra)
1971 Richard Strauss Prize from the city of Munich
1972 State Exam in composition at the State School of Music, Munich
1972-1974 Scholarship from the DAAD (German Academic Foreign Service) for work at the Institute for Sonology at the Utrecht University (studio for electronic music)
1974 Support prize for young composers of classical music moving from the city of Stuttgart to Zurich
since 1974 Various teaching and orchestral commitments in Zurich and Munich
