Born and schooled in Bern. Lives with her family in Wahlendorf.
1976 - Receives diploma as Social Pedagogue

Musical Education:

1981 - Singing studies and teacher's diploma under the tutelage of lngrid Frauchiger at the conservatory in Bern
1983 - Opera studies and professional diploma under the tutelage of Prof. Jakob Stämpfli at the Folkwanghochschule in Essen
1984/85 - Graduates from the International Opera Studios, Zurich
Attends master courses headed by Prof. Paul Lohmann in 1978, Prof. Ernst Häfliger in 1979/80, Reri Grist in 1984, lrvin Gage in 1984-1986 and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf in 1987
1990 until 1999 - Regular collaboration with Prof. Elisabeth Glauser, Hochschule der Künste Bern
1998 until 2000 - Methodical-didactical training with Heinrich von Bergen in Bern.

Artistic Activities:

International concert and stage activities with well-known conductors, choirs and orchestras such as Antal Dorati, Andrew Parrott, Helmuth Rilling, Fneder Bemius, György Kurtag, Krisztof Pendercki, NelIo Santi, Marcello Viotti, Peter Maag and Jun Märkel. Long-tern collaboration with Radio Lugano under the supervision of Edwin Loehrer and Francis Travis.
Liliane Zürcher sang at the International Musikfestwochen (Lucerne Festival) Bachfest Schaffhausen, Festival Tibor Varga Sion, Festival Breslau, International Oratorio-Cantata Festival in Breslau, International Junifestwochen in Zurich, Settembre Musicale La Spezia and Festival barocco di Viterbo.

Opera Engagements:

Zurich Opera House, Jugendfestspiele Bayreuth, Städtische Bühnen Essen, Stadttheater Trier, Stadttheater Regensburg, Stadttheater Bem, Stadttheater Luzern, Stadttheater Biel.
Liliane Zürcher appeared regularly as a soloist with the Berner Bach-Chor (Theo Loosli), the Berner Kammerchor (Jörg Ewald Dähler), Oratorienchor Karlsruhe (Carsten Wlebusch), Choeur Novantiqua (Bernhard Heritier), Oberwalliser Vokalensemble (Hansruedi Kämpfen), Akademiechor Luzern (Alois Koch), and the Choeur FalIer Lausanne, (Pascal Mayer) and with such orchestras as the Berlin Symphonic, Orchestre de Ia Suisse romande, Orchestre de chambre de Lausanne, Orchestre de chambre de Geneve, Berner Symphonieorchester, Symphonieorchester Luzern, Barockensemble ad fontes, die Freitagsakademie and the Bachensemble Luzern.
Her concert, lied and chamber music repertoire encompasses both works from the early Baroque, Classic and Romantic periods and works from contemporary composers. She has performed various world premieres and recorded profusely for Radio and onto CD at home and abroad.
