Rudolf Lutz is a lecturer of historic improvisation at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and instructs in basso continuo, score play and oratorio studies at Zurich's University of the Arts (music department).
He performs as an improviser at home and abroad and is a sought-after course instructor for improvisation in its classical forms.
Rudolf Lutz has been the director of the J.S. Bach Foundation St Gallen since 2006. He has been the organist of the Evangelical Reformed Church in Laurenzen since 1973 and has been a lecturer for historic improvisation at the Schola Cantorum Basilienis since 1991.
