Martin Neukom studied musicology, mathematics and psychology at the University of Zurich, music theory at Zurich School of Music and choir leading at the cantor school in Zurich. He works as a composer and teacher of music theory and is occupied with sound synthesis and computer aided composition. Neukom was commissioned by the �Hochschule Musik und Theater Zürich� to write the book �Signale, Systeme und Klangsynthese - Grundlagen der Computermusik� (Signals, Systems and Sound Synthesis - Fundamentals of Computer Music) which was accepted by the University of Zurich as a dissertation. He heads the Computer Music Department of the Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology (ICST).
