Biography
* 25. 06. 1960 Riehen (BS).

He studied the organ under Susanne Linde from 1980 until 1984 in Zurich and then attended courses in harpsichord given by Don Franklin and Johann Sonnleitner. He recorded for 'Südwestfunk' radio. Sackmann is presently an organist in Schönenbuch, Basel-Land. He studied musicology, ecclesiastical history and Latin philology from 1980 until 1987 in Basel and Bern and was awarded a doctorate in 1999 in Zurich. He was the musical director of Radio DRS II from 1988 until 1993. He has been a teacher of music history and performance practice at Winterthur Conservartory since 1992. As a director of research since 2001 he published the 'Zürcher Musikstudien'. He has been director of the Christoph Delz Foundation since 1994. Dominik Sackmann is the programme editor at the 'Musikkollegium Winterthur' and the 'Wolfegger Wintermusik'.
