Biography
* 18. 06. 1970.
Born in Berne, Marc Kilchenmann studied the bassoon under the tutelage of Ingo Becker and Eckart Hübner, and graduated with a soloist's diploma in 1998. He then completed 'with distinction' a course in composition and chamber music under Urs Peter Schneider in 1995/6. Kilchenmann studied further at the Muikakademie Basel, where he graduated with a soloist's diploma, also 'with distinction'. In addition to his orchestral commitments (solo bassoonist with the basel sinfonietta and substitute player for the Berne Symphony Orchestra, he also makes regular solo appearances and performs in various chamber music ensembles (Ensemble Antipodes, Orpheus Quintett). Kilchenmann has worked on numerous world premiere performances as a soloist and as a chamber musician. He is the co-founder of aart verlag zürich, from where his complete works can be ordered.

‘La perte de la patience’ is a cycle of eleven pieces that can be performed individually or in any one of forty-one combinations. If any of the combinations are performed then a separate room for each ensemble is required.
