Dominique Starck was born into musical family from Strasbourg. He studied at the conservatory and music school in Zurich under Gertrud Brun and Walter Feybli, graduating with a concert diploma with distinction. He studied composition under Josef Haselbach and dedicated himself to further studies of Oriental, Far Eastern and African music. His musical works were also influenced by music and Chi-Gong studies under L. Jeng-Chun Chen. Starcks activities as a chamber musician have allowed him to play concerts with various formations in Europe and the USA. He has produced numerous CD's, radio and TV recordings. He received an appreciation of the therapeutic aspects of music through his continuing research work and his collaboration with Prof. Dr. Balthasar Staehelin (University of Zurich) and the contact he has with the Hopi-Indians, Yoga, the teachings of the Fourth Way and Sufism.
