After his teacher training Martin Imholz studied under Alfred Ehrismann at the Winterthur Conservatory studying piano as his main subject. He received his concert diploma and teacher's diploma. He organised concerts as a member of the committee for the 'Internationale Gesellschaft für Neue Musik' (International Society for New Music) in Zurich and Bern. He is active as a teacher at the College in Solothurn and as a choir master, also in Solothurn.
