Biographie
* 07. 05. 1979.

Born in Holland in 1979, The Neue Zürcher Zeitung described the pianist See Siang Wong as a "subtle sound painter". He received numerous awards and rapidly became an internationally sought-after soloist, chamber musician and song accompanist. See Siang Wong studied in Holland under the tuition of Marjès Benoist and in Switzerland under Homero Francesch and Bruno Canino. He continued his training in song accompaniment under the tuition of Irwin Cage, Hans Adolfsen and Daniel Fueter and in new music with the composer Felix Baumann. He currently lives in Switzerland.
See Siang Wong made his debut with the Dutch Radio Orchestra at the tender age of twelve and has since performed concerts in numerous renowned houses in over 30 countries in Europe, Asia, Central and South America and the Middle East (Tonhalle Zürich, KKL Luzern, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, St. Martin in the Fields London, Salle Olivier Messiaen Paris, Bertramka Prag, Marmorsaal Budapest, Philharmonie St.-Petersburg etc.). He has additionally received regular invitations to perform at well-established festivals. Highlights of his artistic career include the performance of concerts with Pierre Boulez, Ralf Weikert and Howard Griffiths.
See Siang Wong's piano play has been recorded by many radio and television establishments. He has also received high praise from the trade press for the 5 solo CDs with works by Chopin, Debussy, Mozart, Schumann and Beethoven that he recently recorded exclusively for DECCA. Further recordings have been published by the Deutsche Grammophon, Guild (piano works by Nunes and Kelterborn), Novalis (piano concerts by Beethoven, Mozart and Schumann), ZHDK Records (Messiaen's piano concert "Oiseaux Exotiques"), Liverpool Records and Rose labels.
His solo recordings of works by Chopin, Mozart and Schumann (Decca) and his recording of Schumann's piano concert and Beethoven's piano concert N° 6 (piano version of the violin concert) have been crowned by Swiss Radio as "Classic Highlights".
His interest in new music has led to collaborations with such eminent contemporary composers as Emmanuel Nunes, Marco Stroppa, James Dillon, Jonathan Harvey and Rudolf Kelterborn. See Siang Wong founded the "Swiss Piano" project and cultivates the creation of new Swiss piano compositions: many well-known composers have already written new works for this project including Daniel Fueter, Hans Ulrich Lehmann, Laurent Mettraux, Isabel Mundry, Jürg Wyttenbach, Alfred Zimmerlin, Gérard Zinsstag.
See Siang Wong has taught at Zurich University of the Arts since 2002. He heads master courses in Switzerland and abroad and is an internationally sought-after guest lecturer at universities and music schools. He was a guest lecturer at the Musikhochschule Luzern from 2006 until 2008. He is with the exclusive circle of Steinway & Sons artists.
