Daniela Müller (violin) was born in Lucerne in 1977. She studied with Alexander van Wijnkoop in Lucerne and Basle and received her Soloist Diploma from the Musikhochschule Basel in 1999. She then studied with Igor Ozim in Bern and Thomas Zehetmair at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. In 2003/04 she was a granted by the Albert Koechlin Foundation Lucerne studies with Jack Glickman at the Guildhall School for Music and Drama in London for one year. There she obtained a Master's Degree in Music Performance. She was awarded a first prize at the Swiss Jugendmusikwettbewerb, was a finalist in the Concours Eurovision in Lugano and won several study prizes, including Migros Kulturprozent, the Ernst Goehner Foundation and the European Culture Prize of the Patria Jeunesse Foundation. As a soloist she has performed with the Basler Sinfonieorchester, the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, the Neues Basler Orchester and the Neues Zürcher Orchester. Daniela Müller is a principal of the basel sinfonietta and teaches at the Freie Musikschule Basel. She is a founding member of the Mondrian Ensemble and 2014 moved from Basle to Lucerne.
