Many composers have dedicated works to Conrad Steinmann. His unique engagement for the music of Greek antiquity is made apparent through his passion for playing the Aulos. Steinmann has collaborated closely with the instrument maker Paul J.Reichlin, whose reconstructed instruments are the basis for new imaginary music of classical antiquity, which he performs with his ensemble "Melpomen".
