Leo Bachmann is a freelance tubist and composer of adventurous music with the KONTRA-Trio, IGORS, Nadelöhr. He studied at the 'Akademie für Schul- und Kirchenmusik' (Acadamy for School and Church Music, Lucerne), at the Lucerne Conservatory and with Bob Stewart (tuba) in New York.
He produces compositions and improvisation concepts for various scores. He is also the composer and interpreter of 'Palette of Sounds' for tuba solo (CD: Unitrecords UTR 4131). He produces music for stage, film and audio collages.

Twenty-two instruments over all registers, including two percussion instruments. The repetitive sample, which consists of tones from the overtone series of contra F, is successively layered in strata until it melts into a single sound mesh.
