Born in Chur, musicologist; studied musicology, German language/literature and history at the University of Zurich (Lichtenhahn, Lütolf, von Fischer, von Matt, Stadler), 1994 Doctorate; violin and composition studies (Rudolf Bamert, Elemer Glanz, Daniel Zisman, Hans-Ulrich Lehmann). Assistant at the University of Zurich, teaching positions at the universities of Bern, Basel, Luzern and Zurich-Winterthur. Member of the Bündner Kammerorchester, NZZ music critic, contributions to radio, magazines, lexica; editions, publications primarily about Luciano Berio, new media and Swiss music history.
