Walter Feldmann was born in Glarus in 1965. After graduating from high school and studying literature, linguistics and musicology at the University of Zurich, he devoted himself to music. Beginning in 1986 Walter Feldmann turned his energies to composition. He attended various courses on music informatics at Ircam (Paris). His works found international attention early on.
