Denis Beuret was born in Delémont and now lives in Semsales. He studied the trombone under the tutelage of Jean-Jacques Orzan, Michel Garcia, Jacques Henry, Jannick Speisser and received his diploma in 1988. He studied percussion with Mauro Costato, Marco Steiner et Ga?"tan Fama; conducting and orchestration with P.Favre et J.Balissat and improvisation with Erich Lauert, Christian Baader, Werner Bärtschi, Hanjürgen Wäldele and Nicolas Rihs
Denis Beuret took a bass trombone and applied sensors to it which then control the MIDI and audio.
His musical career encompasses various genres including improvised music, jazz, contemporary music, brass band, rock, jazz rock, symphonic orchestra and electroacoustic music. He composes works for different formations but principally for the bass trumpet.
